Getting an assisted stretch at Stretch Studios is as simple as just turning up with a smile. Whilst we do accept walk-ins, we encourage you to book first by booking online or calling the studio to book over the phone. Below is some information to help you prepare for your stretch.

What should I expect at my first session?

Be prepared to feel amazing after your first Assisted Stretch! Your Flexologist will first discuss with you your current flexibility goals and past injuries in order to customise a stretching treatment that is best for your body’s needs. They will explain how the session will run and instruct you on a simple breathing technique. Stretches are performed on one of our custom made beds.

Throughout the assisted stretch your Flexologist will be communicating with you to determine your comfort level. If you choose to continue coming you will begin to learn more and more about your body’s imbalances and notice as they are corrected.

Are your flexologists certified, what certification do they have?

Our Flexologists are certified trained to work in our studios. We are a team of Personal Trainers, Yoga Teachers, Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers with a passion for Health and Wellness. A background in the above is a pre-requisite to be hired. All of our Flexologists go through an in-house Flexology Certification Program designed and facilitated by a Doctor and Integrative Therapist.

What should I wear to my session?

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting or stretchy clothing that won’t restrict your mobility. We also have available clothing for you to borrow and change into if you are coming straight from work.

It’s best to wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in. People wear workout clothes, gym shorts, yoga pants, T-shirts, etc. Jeans and slacks tend to restrict your mobility so we suggest not wearing those types of materials. If you are coming straight from work, we can accommodate you if your clothes are easy to move in. If you wish to change prior to your session then we recommend that you arrive 5 minutes earlier to allow time to change clothing and check-in.

Why can’t I just stretch myself?

During your treatment, a trained Flexologist will guide your body into deeper stretches than you would be able to do on your own. When someone else is doing the work, your body can fully relax and your muscles can open with more ease. Our training allows us to educate, guide, and help our clients achieve greater flexibility with a personalized and safe stretch treatment.
